Publications

A glass negative of this image is attributed to Antoin Sevruguin and is located in the Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery Archives (FSA A.4 2.12.GN.37.05). The glass negative is titled "Girls weaving a carpet" and the number "472" appears on recto of the glass negative.

The image is reproduced on page 93 of Volume I of “Du Khorassan au pays des Backhtiaris: trois mois de voyage en Perse” by Henry-Rene D’Allemagne published in 1911 by Hachette, Paris, France.

 

A 165 mm x 225 mm gelatin silver print of this image is located in the Pitt Rivers Museum of the University of Oxford. The print has a reference number of 2008.7.7.

 

A variation of this image is also located as an albumen photograph, captioned "Carpet Weaving. Sultanabad", by Antoin Sevruguin, and is mounted in a leather-bound album which forms part of the C.R. Smith archive, assembled Sultanabad (modern Arak), Iran, ca. 1880 held in the V&A collection (E.339:34-2010).
