A number appears to have been scratched out on recto. The photograph is titled " The route from Rasht to Mazareh" on verso in what may be the hand of Antoin Sevruguin.

Publications

A variation of a photograph of the same building is found in the collection and is titled "Mazareh". The building is described as a remote caravansaray near Rasht by the V&A museum.
