A glass lantern slide numbered 23 produced by Newton & Co which formed part of a series titled "Persia" which consisted of 103 glass slides. The photographs were attributed to Reverend C. H. Stileman. However, a number were taken by other photographers and indeed this photograph was taken by Antoin Sevruguin. The number 1035 appears on recto of the image in white.
