The number "36" in white ink appears on recto in what may be the hand of Antoin Sevruguin. A gelatin silver print of this image is also in the Myron Bement Smith collection of Antoin Sevruguin Photographs located in the Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery Archives. Smithsonian Institution, Washington D.C. The print was a gift of Katherine Dennis Smith, 1973-1985 and has the reference number FSA A.4 2.12.Up.43. The print also has the number "36"  in white ink on recto in the same location as the print in the Nelson collection. There is a French handwritten caption on the print verso of "Les Bohémiennes" (translation vagabonds).
