This photograph forms part of a group of images relating to Iran's first railway line which connected Tehran to the shrine of Abdul Aziz located in Rey. As such, we believe that this image is either of the workshop established by La Société Anonyme des Chemins de Fer et Tramways en Perse in Baku, to assemble the rolling stock produced by La Metalurgique S.A. de Construction de Tubize in Belgium, or possibly a workshop in the terminal in Tehran itself.
