The print has the number "1499" in white ink on recto in what may be the hand of Antoin Sevruguin. The print has an annotation attached stating "L'interieur du palais du Shah a Teheran"" and is dated 22 November 1911. The print is studio stamped on verso by M Branger, Paris and copyrighted. However, the print appears to be a photograph of the original photograph by Antoin Sevruguin. Maurice-Louis Branger (1874-1950) was a French photographer who created the Paris-based reportage agency "Photo-Presse" in 1905.
This image was also reproduced as a postcard which is in the Nelson collection and is titled "Un grand chateau de S. M. J. le Chah de Perse a Teheran."
