Abdallah Mirza Qajar was a court photographer for Nasir al-Din Shah and is best known for his portraits of members of the royal family and other court officials and indeed was a member of the ruling royal family. Abdallah Mirza Qajar owned a commercial photography studio in Tehran and was head of the photography department at the Dar ul-Funun university. He also studied in Paris, Vienna and Salzburg.
